Chicu: Dodon Has All the Necessary Knowledge to Become Prime Minister

Prime Minister Ion Chicu believes that incumbent President Igor Dodon has all the necessary skills to take up the post of prime minister. However, the prime minister believes that “Igor Dodon does not want this position at this stage,” just as President-elected Maia Sandu will not accept his candidacy for the post of prime minister, zdg.md reported. “Appointing any candidate for the post of prime minister is in the competence of the president. I know that Mrs. Maia Sandu said ther’s no way she would nominate Igor Dodon for the post of prime minister. President Igor Dodon has for sure the necessary skills and experience, but I do not think that the president at this stage wants to take the post of head of government,” Chicu said. The head of the executive branch noted as well that he had no doubts about presidential elections’ results in Moldova, saying that "violations were reported, but the results of the elections are obvious."
