The meetings of the presidents of Russia and Moldova, Vladimir Putin and Igor Dodon, are not yet on the Russian leader’s schedule, press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said. Earlier, following a telephone conversation with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak, Dodon wrote on his Facebook account that he would visit Russia on a working visit and discuss issues of Russian-Moldovan cooperation, ria.ru reported. "As far as I know, such a meeting is not in the president's schedule in the foreseeable future. But contacts with Kozak will most likely take place, I just cannot tell you the exact date," Peskov said, answering the question of whether a meeting is planned between Putin and Dodon. The second round of presidential elections was held in Moldova on November 15. The citizens of Moldova elected the head of state for the next four years. The contenders in the second round of the elections were former Prime Minister Maia Sandu and President Igor Dodon, who was running for the second term. According to preliminary data on the commission's website, after processing 100% of the protocols from polling stations, Sandu won the presidential elections with 57.75% of the vote while 42.25% of voters voted for Dodon.
