After considering all the amendments, deputies approved the state budget revenues at the level of 41.415 billion lei, which is 4.2 billion lei (11.3%) more than the approved state budget for 2020. The increase in revenues is associated with an increase in revenues from taxes, fees and grants.
According to the draft, the state budget expenditures amount to 55.399 billion lei, which is 2.2 billion lei (4.1%) more compared to the approved state budget in 2020. State budget expenditures are determined by the objectives of the Fiscal Policy to an average extent.
The budget balance (deficit) is estimated at 13.984 billion lei. The sources of financing the deficit will be both internal (acquisition of a share in the authorized capital, funds from the sale of state public property and bank assets in the process of liquidation, issue and redemption of government securities, etc.) and external sources.
The government developed the draft law on the state budget for 2021 taking into account the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters in 2020 on the national economy and population.
After the budget was approved, 56 deputies decided to close the session of parliament.
