The candidate for the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Natalia Gavrilitsa has severely criticized the parliament of the republic. She said this on Thursday during the new government approval parliamentary session, infotag.md reported. "I represent government’s composition and program, that is capable of transforming the country in a few years. But this program must be approved not by the parliament but by the people. And not now, but after early elections. Therefore, I came to parliament not to ask for a vote confidence but to take a step towards early elections, "- Gavrilitsa said. She stressed that "the current parliament should be dissolved, as it does not represent the will of the people." “The current parliament Deputies have long betrayed their voters. They have moved from one party to another three times, they are changing laws in order to keep themselves at the trough of power. This parliament should be dissolved - and the sooner, the better. That’s what the people has asked for during recent presidential elections, "Gavrilitsa said. Parliamentary Speaker Zinaida Greceanii interrupted the candidate, urging her to stop criticizing parliament, which "is the highest legislative body". “You need to show at least a drop of respect for the people's representatives. You came to criticize the deputies. Or maybe they want to vote for you and approve the government,” the speaker noted. In response, Gavrilitsa said that "if the government is approved, it will work," as it has a program of action. "But we want to take a step towards early elections today, so that after the elections we will have the opportunity to approve a government that will have the people's confidence expressed during the early parliamentary elections," Gavrilitsa said. The candidate for the post of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa called on deputies to voluntarily resign and go to early elections. She referred to the results of the presidential elections in which Maia Sandu won, noting that "a million votes of hope (in favor of Sandu) are connected with the promise to return the state, the justice and the future stolen by politicians from the people." "Against the background of this wave of support, I urge the deputies to leave parliament. Do this for your children so that they can live in Moldova, where you can count on justice, respect, jobs, opportunities to develop business. People want to return their country, but changes are needed to start with a clean parliament and a government that works in the public interest, " the candidate for prime minister said. According to Gavrilitsa, people do not understand "why is the parliament discussing so much the language, schemes in the interests of Ilan Shor, anything else but looking for a way out of the current crisis." "Citizens do not understand why before leaving office in the midst of the crisis, the prime minister (Ion Chicu) is developing a budget that does not provide a penny for vaccines purchase. How, in this situation, leave ministries without ministers, without secretaries of state who can make decisions to save lives ", - Gavrilitsa was indignant. Therefore, according to her, PAS calls for parliament dissolution and transition to early elections. “We need a responsible parliament, capable of working out solutions for citizens and for the country, and not for the thieves,” she said. At the same time, according to her, the Cabinet of Ministers that was presented to her consists of motivated professionals who know their direction of work, and if approved, the government will establish the work of state institutions, a dialogue with society. The urgent package includes measures to tackle the pandemic, support vulnerable populations and the business environment, anti-corruption actions, and prepare for early elections.
