The Platform DA leader Andrei Nastase says that his party is not fighting for the post of prime minister, but for achieving normality and stability in the Republic of Moldova. According to Nastase, the approval of a government supported by the pro-European forces of the parliament would be the best alternative to the executive branch, supported by the PSRM-Shor majority, which will never receive financial external support, ipn.md reports. The Chairman of the DA Platform called the Constitutional Court's response to the head of state's appeal about the powers of the outgoing government predictable. Nastase says that such appeals spoil the country's image in the eyes of foreign ambassadors accredited in the Republic of Moldova. "Why was this appeal made? It was clear that this would be a waste of time. We disgrace ourselves before the civilized world. I turned to the ambassadors of European states for their experience. Let's see how crises are resolved in European countries. No European country allows chaos, anarchy, especially during a pandemic," Andrei Nastase said during the Moldova in direct broadcast on the public TV channel. Andrei Năstase noted that if he is elected Prime Minister, his will prioritize the problem of agricultural producers,  pension indexation, but especially the sanitary crisis given the  constantly growing number of people infected with the SARS-COV-2 virus. "There are only heartless politicians around. You cannot remain indifferent knowing that you have 1,800 cases a day. The DA platform is not fighting for the post of prime minister, it is fighting for normality, for the safety of citizens, I mean sanitary, food, economic," Andrei Nastase said. The DA Platform leader says he expects the head of state to respect the constitution and initiate consultations with parliamentary factions to identify a candidate for the post of prime minister. "It is very good that Madam President is holding consultations with civil society, with leaders of public opinion, with journalists, but the Constitution obliges her to consult with parliamentary parties. We are waiting for consultations with the head of state, based on the Constitutional Court's decision," Andrei Nastase said. Yesterday, the Chairperson of the DA Platform, Andrei Nastase, sent a letter to all European institutions and embassies of European states accredited in the Republic of Moldova, requesting mediation by providing expertise to overcome the current political crisis in the Republic of Moldova.
