PSRM leader Igor Dodon claims that early elections will not take place in the summer, but will be held no earlier than September or October.
“Early elections will take place no earlier than September-October. I assure you that we have leverage in this regard. There will be no elections in the country until we solve the problem of the pandemic,” Igor Dodon said,

Moreover, the former president indirectly admitted that a state of emergency is proposed to avoid the dissolution of parliament:
“The law clearly states that there can be no dissolution of parliament during a state of emergency. So the parliament cannot be dissolved in the next 60 days,” Dodon said.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers voted on Tuesday, March 30 for a government decree which provides for the transmission of the report of the Emergency Situations Commission to parliament on the need to declare a state of emergency in the country.
