Grosu: The Airport Is State-Owned – That’s a Victory

The airport belongs to the state and the authorities are now carrying out management transition procedures, Speaker Igor Grosu says. According to him, Ilan Sor cannot alienate it. The head of the legislature also claims that the government requested an international consultation to be able to manage and expand the airport. The statements were made during a special broadcast on Radio Moldova on Wednesday, realitatea.md reports. “The airport is owned by the state. Transfer of management is ongoing. He (ed: Ilan Sor) cannot manage it, he cannot alienate it. He cannot do anything that would damage this asset. This is a victory. We have given back the airport, which belongs to the citizens. We will make sure that it is well managed. International partners were approached for advice on how to manage it, how to expand it,” Grossu said.
