The Forța Fermierilor Association reports that more than 200 tractors are moving to Chisinau. Another 250 agricultural units headed off to the national highways. More agrarians are heading out from the north of the country compared to last week. They were joined by farmers from Floresti and Glodeni districts. Larger numbers of farmers come from Edinet, Ocnita and Briceni districts. In some districts certain problems with the police were recorded, but at the moment all the machinery moves unhindered to the capital. Most likely, the tractors will arrive at permitted places on the periphery of the municipality at 16:00-17:00, according to a press release. We recall that Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea will visit Brussels on June 20 to request financial support from the European Union for farmers in Moldova affected by the collapse of prices and the aftermath of the war. In this context, Prime Minister Dorin Recean stated that all calculations will be completed by the end of this week and expressed hope that external partners will help Moldova again.
