September 26, President Igor Dodon met with the Russian President’s special representative for the development of trade and economic relations with Moldova, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak. Igor Dodon assured the Russian vice-premier that Moldova is striving to achieve a balance in relations with the countries of the West and the East. According to his words during the conversation the sides discussed the successfully held Moldovan-Russian Economic Forum. Dodon and Kozak talked “about the possibilities of Russian technical assistance for Moldovan agricultural producers”, discussed the situation in Transnistria and prospects for the development of a dialogue in the Transnistrian settlement. During the meeting Igor Dodon has once again confirmed that Moldova was striving to achieve political and economic balance in Moldova’s relations with the countries of the West and East.
