Tulea Discussed the Epidemiological Situation in Moldova with Michalko

The agenda of the European integration and the interaction between Moldova and the EU in managing the epidemiological situation were discussed today at a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Tulea and the head of the EU delegation to Moldova Peter Michalko. The head of the MFAEI emphasized that Moldova remains firmly committed to the goal of European integration and the implementation of the Association Agreement. According to him, the Moldovan authorities will continue to make efforts to improve and promote dialogue with the EU. In this regard, the parties considered relevant issues on the Moldova-EU dialogue agenda, paying particular attention to a number of reforms to which Chisinau should return as a matter of priority At the same time, the interaction between Moldova and the European Union in overcoming the epidemiological crisis was examined. The head of Moldovan diplomacy informed Peter Michalko about the efforts taken by the MFAEI to return Moldovan citizens from EU countries, as well as some problems that have arisen in this regard. He also expressed appreciation for the support provided by the EU to cover the urgent needs of the medical system, as well as post-crisis rehabilitation. Oleg Tulea emphasized that great importance in this direction will be given to overcoming the negative consequences for the national economy.
