Dodon: Socialists Are Ready to Support the Government of Maia Sandu

The current president and informal leader of the PSRM, Igor Dodon, insisted on Maia Sandu taking the board. He also claimed that the socialists are ready to support the new Cabinet, that the PDS is to propose, but only if it includes real professionals. The issue was discussed yesterday at a meeting of the PSRM faction, which was attended by Dodon,  publika.md reported. Journalists tried to get comments from the head of the press service of the Action and Solidarity Party, Aurica Rusnac-Jardan, but she did not answer the phone calls. During a press conference on Monday, Maia Sandu said the PSRM-backed government would not have the authority to carry out the reforms that citizens demand. At the same time, she said that the cabinet headed by Ion Chicu should leave. In response, the socialists said that Maia Sandu's refusal to form a new government proves that the projects promised during the campaign were only lies to the electorate.
