The deputies must take the oath before the plenum of the parliament, said the current President Igor Dodon, who came up with this legislative initiative. According to the draft, the oath will be taken after confirmation of the deputy mandate by the Constitutional Court. The text of the oath is provided for by the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, agora.md wrote. “The proposed bill harmonizes the legal framework in this area and ensures uniformity of procedures in terms of compliance with the requirements for taking the oath by persons performing the functions of public dignity, in particular those who received this mandate immediately after the elections, the legality of which was confirmed by the Constitutional Court. This procedure will contribute to the capitalization of the fundamental principles of the implementation of the function of public dignity, namely the principles of legality, free consent, transparency, personal example, responsibility and loyalty of a deputy in fulfilling the mandate received, "the draft information note says. The bill will be discussed at a plenary session of the parliament.
