The Party of Socialists chairman (PSRM), Igor Dodon, criticized President Maia Sandu. He noted that while "some countries have started to include Moldova in the pandemic red zone, prices for fuel and food are growing, district administrations have thousands of questions about the prospects for this year, the presidential office is busy with trips abroad and election campaigning, with snap elections on their mind", infotag.md reports. "We, the socialists, are ready to ensure the early parliamentary elections organization, but until then, we and our citizens want to understand why the country suddenly stopped. We want to understand why Sandu and the Action and Solidarity Party are playing dirty, shameful political games, hoaxing people. The game with the Gavrilita government nomination is a theater of the absurd," Dodon said indignantly. He believes that Sandu "has so far been busy promoting people from her team." "She put together a "team" of controversial personalities who turned out to be millionaires in disguise, holders of fake diplomas, offshore companies, with hidden and undeclared property. On the other hand, another kind of activity of the new president is the purging of professionals who were holding government positions and performed their duties for many years, regardless of political changes," Dodon notes. He believes that a situation has developed in the Republic of Moldova that requires immediate and bold decisions. "While the president is sleeping, or traveling abroad, or playing political games with trump cards in her sleeve against the interests of citizens, we, other political forces, must be more resolute in our actions," Dodon concluded.
