Another batch of vaccine will arrive in Moldova today. Moldovan President Maia Sandu announced this on her Facebook page. “Once again, we thank the sponsors, Covax and Romania, for their support and solidarity during these difficult times for all. We asked the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Welfare to prepare the process of distributing vaccines to vaccination centers as efficiently as possible and to ensure that the number of people vaccinated per day increases. The vaccine saves lives, and any day of delay means more disease and more lives. We continue to do everything in our power to vaccinate as many people as possible. Until it's turn for everyone to be vaccinated, please, let us all be vigilant and responsible, take care of our life and health,” Sandu wrote, nokta.md reports. The head of state reminds that the danger is very high, the hospitals are full, and the doctors are exhausted. Maia Sandu also notes that it is within our power to stop the spread of "this unrelenting virus" with the simple rules that we all know, urging to: - wear masks; - wash and disinfect hands; - avoid crowded places and crowded events; - get vaccinated when it's our turn. In total, by the end of March, 46 thousand vaccine doses will be delivered to the Republic of Moldova through the Covax platform and another 50 thousand from Romania's donation.
