The Moldovan authorities say that the number of COVID infection cases has decreased by more than 35 percent over the past week. However, health experts note that after the May 9 demonstrations and Easter holidays, the number of diseases will increase. Representatives of the Ministry of Health announced a warning on the air of the program Punctul pe Azi and called on the population to get vaccinated, tvrmoldova.md reported. "In the next 14 days, we may have an increase in the number of cases. We are already seeing this, as the level of infection increased from 0.80 to 0.84. This is not a very good indicator. This once again requires the population to comply with safety rules," said the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health Tatiana Zatac. "It is also worth noting people who have returned to the country, who might get through the disease incubation period, or might have a mild or asymptomatic disease form, people might as well return with virus mutations which can provoke a new wave of diseases," the epidemiologist of the NAHO Angela Paraschiv said. In this regard, health experts urge citizens to get immunized. The third stage of vaccination against the new coronavirus has already started in the Republic of Moldova. Priority is given to people working within catering, transport and communications sectors. To date, over 192,000 vaccine doses have been administered in the Republic of Moldova.
