Russian gas supplies to Transnistria will resume in the near future, Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky said at today’s briefing following a trip to Moscow. According to him, “we need to wait a little longer”, Transnistrian media reported. Russian gas will be supplied as humanitarian gas - in the volume needed for the Transnistrian population, for the heat and power industry and for enterprises. As Vadim Krasnoselsky noted, the negotiations were held at the level of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. “This was a joint initiative with Russia,” Krasnoselsky emphasized. Krasnoselsky: “At yesterday’s press conference Maia Sandu said that Moldova would not hinder gas supplies to Transnistria. Thank her for this”. “I listened to the press conference of the Moldovan president and it became clear that the Moldovan president is not informed about the real situation. She is probably misinformed by her entourage, by those who prepare figures and reports for her. Personal communication, any phone call could have slackened the degree of tension,” he said. “All systems are ready for the resumption of gas supply,” Krasnoselsky said at the briefing. - The heat will be available as soon as the gas supply is restored”.
