The British Parliament Voted for Postponing Country’s Exit from the European Union. BBC broadcast the MPs voting. 412 MPs voted for and 202 - against postponement. The same day earlier the MPs voted against holding a second referendum on Brexit in the near future. Initially Brexit was scheduled to take place on 29 March 2019. However, two weeks before this date, the government of Theresa May and MPs cannot agree upon a deal the Kingdom to leave the European Union. The agreement of the government with the EU had been worked out nearly two years, however, but it twice failed the approval of MPs. Theresa May’s government argues that Brexit delay can be not long – up to 30 June. For this, however, the Parliament should approve the deal reached between the government and the EU by March 20. On the eve the Parliament voted against the exit without an agreement. Also there was adopted an amendment  prohibiting the UK leaving the European Union without a Brexit deal. The referendum on the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union was held in June 2016. 17.4 million people voted for the exit from the EU (51.89 percent) and  16.1 million - against (48.11 percent). 34 percent are against it. The rest of the respondents do not have a firm opinion. Only 20 percent of respondents support exit without a deal with the EU. Source: Svoboda.org
