Mihai Popsoi, Vice-Speaker and Member of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) hopes that it will be possible to approve the joint declaration on the inevitability of Moldova’s European course in the near future. At a briefing on Monday, he said that it “should be a truly substantive document to the foundation of Moldova’s irreversible movement along the European vector,” infotag.md reports. Popsoi considers it necessary to approve the document in parliament, since “he is observing certain attempts by President Igor Dodon to turn Moldova off the course of the EU integration.” “We hope that in the coming days it will be possible to approve the text of the declaration and then propose it to the Permanent Bureau. We know that the socialist colleagues are very worried about this because their agenda is fundamentally different from the national interests of Moldova. Therefore, we will do our best to enable adoption of the document,” he said. According to him, only a group of negotiators is working on the document so far, but the final version of the declaration will be discussed with all deputies of the PDM and ACUM factions.
