PSRM and PDM Announced Ruling Coalition Creation

The Socialist Party and the Democratic Party announced that they have agreed to create a “political platform to support the government.” This announced the leaders of two political groups at a press conference. “Today we are witnesses of a historic event. After several rounds of negotiations, the PDM and PSRM agreed to sign a coalition agreement and create a parliamentary majority. Colleagues have signed this agreement and now we want to sign this document publicly,” PSRM leader Zinaida Greceanîi said. PDM chairman Pavel Filip said the party he leads was considering whether to take this step during the coronavirus pandemic. According to him, this is even the right moment. “PDM decided to sign the agreement while this difficult time and take part in the management act. We are not afraid of difficulties. I’m sure that we will succeed,” PDM leader Pavel Filip said. The agreement was signed during the nationwide quarantine and ban on public events.
