The Sor Party Plans to Impeach President Maia Sandu

After the exclusion of the Sor Party candidate Marina Tauber from the election of the mayor of Balti, the political force plans to begin the impeachment procedure of President Maia Sandu. This was stated today at an online speech by the internationally wanted leader of the party Ilan Sor. According to him, the head of state usurped power and removed Tauber from the election race by personal order. Sor intends to start collecting signatures for her resignation and initiate impeachment proceedings. After that, in order to “save the country”, the parliament will have to be dissolved in order to organize early parliamentary and presidential elections. “Starting from Monday, the Sor Party will initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu. I understand that many will now say that we do not have enough votes in parliament. That’s true. But I hope that many deputies who entered the parliament by the PAS lists, who believed in sincere intentions and are honest and business people, but who witnessed the genocide against their own people today, will carefully analyze and think about how to vote in the name of citizens and in order to save the country. We will also launch a broad campaign to collect signatures to demand the resignation of Mrs. President” Ilan Sor said. At the same time, the party will begin the procedure of a vote of no confidence in parliament to dissolve the Legislature.
