Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu and Moldovagaz director Vadim Ceban set a scheme to steal money from gas supplies, with two foreign experts as final beneficiaries. This was stated by Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban during the Morari.Live program on the N4 TV channel. “In 2012-2021, the volume of gas imports ranged between 1.1 and 1.0 billion cubic meters per year. I do not understand why consumption increased by hundreds of millions of cubic meters in 2021. In October, the “dominator” lamented that there was no pressure. But the meter data shows the opposite: pressure was there, and there was no problem at all. Two foreigners, super-experts, Maciej Wozniak and William Coppuls, were invited to advise the Moldovan government, and the beneficiaries were firms that they either co-own or administer,” Ceban said. The Mayor General stressed that there was no need to introduce a state of emergency at that time. “Everything was done artificially. There was no notification from Gazprom. Spinu and Ceban from Moldovagaz were to buy gas with their own money, not at our expense. They had no right. And they don’t have it now. It’s the same thing with buying electricity on the exchange in Romania. We do not know the conditions under which it is done,” Ion Ceban stressed. As for the gas stored in reserve in Ukraine for the Republic of Moldova, the Mayor General believes that they use a different scheme there. Ion Ceban said that he was ready to explain everything to the prosecutor’s office once he is invited there. Point
