MP Olesea Stamate denies accusations of creating “loopholes” in the amnesty law that allowed life convicted criminals out of prison, which caused a scandal and led to her expulsion from PAS. Stamate said that she understood the decision of the PAS party leadership to exclude her from the political formation, but did not see her fault in the situation, tv8.md wrote. “I understand the political context and the fierce media attack of the last few days against both the party and me personally, especially in this sensitive election year. I know the truth, and I have a clear conscience: all my actions were right and lawful. The attempt to involve my family into these dirty attacks organized by the enemies of power - both inside and outside the country - is unacceptable and goes beyond all bounds of decency. I remain committed to the principles of legality, the rule of law and democratic values,” Stamate wrote on her social network page.
