President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called Russia a key external partner. During the meeting on topical issues of cooperation with the Russian Federation, Mr. Lukashenko said that the relations of the two countries “are built on a systematic and, most importantly, regular basis”. “Many agreements were signed, including at the Supreme State Council, at the Council of Ministers of the Union State. Unfortunately, as I often say, not all of them are being put in practice,” Lukashenka added. He did not specify the agreements. Alexander Lukashenko added that half a year ago, at the level of the State Council, priorities and tasks for the development of the union state for five years were approved. “There is a program of action. We have been preparing for it for a long time, we have identified every issue, and we have agreed and prescribed every point of interaction between Belarus and the Russian Federation. At that time many of our proposals for closer integration were not supported”, he explained. Source: Kommersant
