The leader of the National Unity Party, independent MP Octavian Ţîcu, believes that the break in the Democratic Party of Moldova is artificial, and if necessary, they will reunite. On the other hand, one of the former Democratic deputies, currently a member of the Pro Moldova parliamentary group, Vladimir Cebotari, says that not one of the deputies who left the PDM does anybody’s game, ipn.md reported. “The Democratic Party no longer exists in the form in which it existed. The democratic party, as such, democratically elected, constitutionally, never possessed power in the state and we are well aware that having 15% of the vote it won the government and parliamentary majority solely by bribing deputies, ” Octavian Ţîcu said during the “ Secretele Puterii ” (Power Secrets) TV Show on JurnalTV channel. According to the NUP leader, one of the proves that democrats’ party dropping is artificial serves cases cessation against some officials. “I will really believe what I said is not true only when the authorities take on Mr. Vlad Cebotari’s case, who was lifted his immunity for the airport concession due to his assistance to Avia Invest, then I will consider it to be a break and they have nothing to fear of”. Octavian Ţîcu claimed that using this break PDM can play both on the side of the authorities and on the side of the opposition. Vladimir Cebotari, who is also a member of the Pro Moldova parliamentary group, refuted statements of his TV Program colleague and stated that skeptical people should exist everywhere. “In politics we should have people who have less faith in what is happening, this makes us more vigilant, more decisive in some actions. Mr. Ţîcu has the right to his own opinion, we don’t have to prove that there is no conspiracy theory, we don’t even have such an interest, we don’t want to convince anyone who does not want to believe us that we are not making any games. We made decisions, we acted as our mind and heart dictated,” Vladimir Cebotari added. The former PDM vice chairman said the Democratic Party has a lot of good people who share the same point of view as the new parliamentary group. “We are waiting for them and every day they are convinced that the decision we made and undertook is the right one and there is no other better way than joining our group,” Vladimir Cebotari said.
