Commenting on the decision, Radu Marian said he was removed from the commission because he no longer chairs Parliament’s Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance. Radu Marian will be replaced by Dorian Istratii on Moldova’s National Commission for European Integration. President Maia Sandu signed the corresponding decree, realitatea.md reports. According to Marian, membership in the commission is tied to the chairmanship of the parliamentary Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance. Asked whether Dorian Istratii would become the new chair of the committee, Marian said that the PAS party had not yet made a decision. Istratii currently serves as deputy chair of the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance. Following the approval of the new government, the president introduced several changes to the composition of the National Commission for European Integration. Alexandru Munteanu, Ludmila Catlabuga, Andrian Gavrilita, Emil Ceban, Cristian Jardan, Radu Musteata, and Sergiu Gurau were removed from the body. The commission’s new members include Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, Minister of Culture Dan Suruceanu, Minister of Finance Victoria Belous, Acting Director of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) Alexandru Manciu, and Daniela Vidaicu, National Coordinator of the Moldova National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.
