The president is not interested in the content of the conversation between Poroshenko and Biden. He is only concerned that the President’s Office Might Be Bugged. President Vladimir Zelensky voiced against involving Ukraine into the United States presidential election because of audio recordings publication of ex-president Petro Poroshenko conversations with former US vice president Joe Biden, who is a presidential candidate for the Democrats. He said this in an interview with the British The Telegraph. "Why do we need to drag Ukraine into this again? Now we enjoy bilateral support of the US both Congress and the Senate. We have the president’s support. These recordings are not a priority," he stressed. The President noted the importance of strategic partnership with the United States and assured that "Ukraine does not want to influence the domestic or foreign policy situation in any country or the electoral process in any country." He also denied the possibility to be involved in records leak.  What interests Zelensky in this matter is not the conversation between Poroshenko and Biden but how was it ever possible to bug the conversation in the Presidential Administration. “Look, I don’t know anything about the details of this agreement. Was it reached or not, did it actually exist. The only thing that interests me is how was it possible to bug, make notes in the Office of the President of Ukraine,” he said. As you know, the State Bureau of Investigation opened a case on recording the conversation and invited Poroshenko for questioning as a witness but he did not come. The Office of the Prosecutor General opened a case on the articles of high treason and abuse of power or official position on this fact.
