MP Elena Bacalu announced that she is leaving the parliamentary group Pro Moldova to join the Pentru Moldova platform, which has 14 MPs now, together with the Sor faction members. Sergiu Sirbu, one of the Pentru Moldova platform leaders, has already welcomed the decision of his colleague to join them, realitatea.md reports. “Our parliamentary group’s appeal was supported by another colleague from the parliament - Ms. Elena Bacalu, who choose to contribute to overcoming the deadlock in the legislature in the ranks of the Pentru Moldova platform. We congratulate you, madam deputy on your responsible and courageous decision! We need to work hard to fulfill the promises made to the people, and together we are stronger!” a message posted on the parliamentary group’s Facebook page reads. As a result, the Pentru Moldova platform currently includes 14 MPs: Sergiu Sirbu, Eleonora Graur, Ruxanda Glavan, Grigore Repesciuc, Corneliu Padnevici and Elena Bacalu, elected to parliament from the Democratic Party lists, left the DPM to join the Pro Moldova group, which they left later. Violeta Ivanov and Vladimir Vitiuc, elected to parliament from the DPM lists, left the Democratic Party and joined the Sor party, which includes MPs Marina Tauber, Denis Ulanov, Reghina Apostolova, Vadim Fotescu, Igor Himici and Petru Jardan.
