The Pentru Moldova parliamentary group intends to nominate a candidate for prime minister. This announced on December 29 at a press conference the deputy from the Shor party Marina Tauber and the independent deputy Sergiu Sirbu. The MPs are confident that they will be able to find 51 votes in parliament to form a new government. As deputies noted, they are ready to propose a candidate for prime minister. “My colleague Sirbu and I wanted to inform today that we have made a decision on the candidacy for the post of head of the executive branch. And this person, in turn, has already prepared a list of candidates for ministerial posts,” Tauber said. The MP is confident that the majority of MPs in parliament will vote for this candidate. “We would like to appeal to the entire political class with an appeal to forget about our political interests and think, first of all, how to get Moldova out of the crisis. We are fully prepared to take responsibility. We even have proposals ready. And most importantly, the Pentru Moldova platform and our team are confident that there will be 51 votes for the candidate we present,” Tauber said. MP Sirbu noted that in the near future the parliamentary group will discuss this topic with other factions, and after that it will announce the name of the candidate for prime minister. “We believe we have competent people for all positions in government. We are confident that a parliamentary majority will be ensured,” Sirbu said. As a reminder, President Maia Sandu held consultations with all parliamentary factions on December 28. At a meeting with the president, the Shor party deputies Marina Tauber, Violeta Ivanova and the Pentru Moldova parliamentary group member Sergiu Sirbu announced that they were ready to nominate a candidate for the position of the country's prime minister.
