Sandu Nominated a Candidate for Prime Minister

Natalia Gavrilita was nominated a candidate for prime minister by the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu. "This person whom I fully trust is professional and responsible. I instructed her to create a government team and prepare a state program aimed at economic development and purging government institutions of corruption. I still believe that early parliamentary elections are the only way to get out from the ongoing political impasse," Sandu said at a briefing. Now, the candidate for prime minister has two weeks to present the government program to parliament. Then the parliament will vote. Natalia Gavrilita, PAS Vice Chairman, was Minister of Finance in 2019.
