The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) can form a government that will include representatives of other political forces. This statement was made on July 13 by the MP candidate from PAS Andrei Spinu on the air of the program Politica Nataliei Morari on TV8. In turn, another participant, acting leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform (DA) party Dinu Plyngau, doubted that PAS would appoint people from other parties to key positions. Spinu said that PAS is open to everyone and can appoint representatives of other parties to government positions. "We are open to everyone. Discussions are underway now. When we define the mechanism for the formation of the cabinet of ministers and, in particular, secretaries of state, we will announce this publicly. Of course, there will be serious discussions with everyone, including people we know, including from other parties. We need to decide how to appoint the best government, not just ministers," PAS spokesman Andrei Spinu said. In turn, the current head of the DA, Dinu Plingău, believes that PAS will not risk appointing representatives of other parties to the posts of ministers. "As for the ministerial posts, I think that all of them will be appointed on the basis of loyalty to PAS. I don't think they will take risks and appoint people from other parties. This will mean political competition, this is a rostrum for other political parties, where they can speak out, come forward. Of course, if the ruling party has very good guys, professionals, and so on, you need to appoint people who can also conduct evaluation to give a clue that they are doing something wrong. This is a normal democracy. (…) I saw comments in social media after we didn’t get into parliament, "Such good guys and professionals - Slusari, Munteanu and others. Perhaps, they will find their way to the government." Firstly, I do not think that PAS will staff the key positions with people who are not from their party. I think this would be a political mistake. I think that they will try to take professionals from other parties to staff second-line positions, people who should work in the government - in the secretariat and various agencies. Because professionals are really needed there, politicians are not needed there," Plingău said. As a reminder, on July 12, after the announcement of the preliminary election results, the head of the PAS, who ran for parliament, urged all professionals to send their CVs to participate in governing and transforming Moldova. "We encourage people with experience in public administration, management, law, international relations to apply to PAS if they can participate in the transformation of the country. If they cannot, but want to help, we ask them to get involved remotely," Igor Grosu said. PAS encouraged people who want to take part in public administration to register on diasporaconnect.md, so that it would be easier for the team to find them and involve them in the governance processes. Following the parliamentary elections, the pro-presidential Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) won 52.8% of the vote and may receive 63 mandates in the future parliament.
