People who work should have a higher income than retirees, otherwise everyone might want to become a pensioner. This was stated by head of state Maia Sandu in the air of a TV program, trm.md reports. Maia Sandu is convinced that the government was right in deciding to allocate aid of 3000 lei to people with salaries below 15000 lei and 1500 lei to pensioners, and not vice versa. “We will offer 1,500 lei, and those with low income will receive compensation for gas. But we must understand that people who work should receive more than those who do not work,” Maia Sandu said. Budgetary employees with salaries lower than 15,000 lei will receive a lump sum of 3,000 lei. The decision does not apply to citizens employed in the private sector. Retired people with pensions less than 5 thousand lei will also receive a one-time aid in the amount of 1500 lei.
