New sanctions include a ban on maritime transport of oil to third countries Ambassadors of the European Union agreed on the eighth package of sanctions against Russia. It was reported on Twitter by the Czech representation to the EU. The new sanctions will include a ban on maritime transport of oil to third countries above the oil price cap. There will be a ban on providing engineering, legal and IT services to Russian organizations. The package will also extend the ban on the import of steel products, paper, plastics, chemicals, cigarettes, as well as the export of technology. In addition, officials of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions who expressed their support for joining Russia, will be added to the sanctions lists. The Czech Mission reported that the technical procedure of the sanctions has been launched. They will come into force as soon as they are published in the EU’s Official Journal. Голос Америки
