The Chisinau mayor suggested signing a public petition to make the Government report on how the billion euros allocated by external partners was spent. "We want to know how this aid was used, because, for example, not a single penny was received in Chisinau," Ion Ceban, the capital's mayor, said at yesterday's City Hall meeting, unimedia.info reports. According to Ceban, it is important to know how foreign aid is used. "They did not help us, the municipality of Chisinau. I do not know if other mayoralties and localities received anything, probably just as the Chisinau municipality - not," the capital's mayor said. The mayor also demanded that contracts for gas, electricity and other contracts that constitute a commercial secret be made public. "There are no commercial secrets when it comes to citizens' money," Ceban concluded.
