Recean Family Income in 2023 Totaled 6 Million Lei: 4.9 Mln Earned by Mrs. Recean

Prime Minister Dorin Recean’s family earned more money last year compared to 2022. According to the declaration of assets and personal interests of the Recean family for 2023, the annual income increased by almost 480 thousand lei, reaching over 5.9 million. The document shows that the prime minister's wife is the one who brings the main income to the house. Stela Recean, who is part of the commercial bank’s management, earned about 4.63 million lei last year. This means that the prime minister’s wife receives a monthly salary of more than 385,000 lei. This is more than her husband managed to earn during the year - almost 306 thousand lei. Since 2023, when he was presidential adviser, Dorin Recean received remuneration of almost 92,000 lei, and after he became prime minister, Recean received about 213,900 lei. Dividends received from shares in a fast-food restaurant chain totaled 745,000 lei and from shares in a consulting company - 150,400 lei. The family keeps more than 121,000 euros, 5,151 dollars and almost 985,000 lei in the bank where Stela Recean works. Otherwise, compared to 2022, there are no major changes in the declaration. The Recean family lives in the same house worth 4.5 million lei. They have a villa for 55,000 euros in the mountains of Romania and drive the same BMW for 19,000 euros.
