The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Moldova proposed for consideration the draft resolution on the withdrawal of Chisinau from the Agreement on Coordination of the Interstate Relations in the Field of Power Industry of the Commonwealth of Independent States of February 14, 1992. The covering note to the document says that the agreement purposes and terms no longer correspond to the priorities of Moldova. This is due to the project of interconnection of the electricity grids of Moldova and Romania. The draft resolution says that interconnection to the Ukrainian electricity grids and connection to ENTSO-E is a long-term strategic priority for Chisinau. It should be noted that Moldova has not participated in the meetings of the Electrical Power Council of the CIS states since 2016. Source: riafan
