The British Parliament on Monday, November 26, announced the date of the vote on the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union (Brexit). The House of Commons will vote on December 11th after five-day debate. Over the coming weeks, parliament will have to “examine this deal in detail” as well as “listen to our constituents and decide what is in our national interest” said British Prime Minister Theresa May. EU summit participants endorse Brexit agreement On November 25, 27 EU heads of state and government at an extraordinary summit in Brussels supported a 585-page agreement on the British withdrawal from the European Union, which was agreed on November 13. In addition, a political declaration was signed at the meeting, regulating relations between the EU and London after Brexit.
