On July 13, President Igor Dodon promulgated bills for which the government took responsibility on July 9. These are amendments to the state budget, the law on a unified remuneration system in the public sector, laws on the budget of social insurance and medical insurance for 2020. This was reported by Dodon on Facebook. “After these laws are implemented, a total of about a million Moldovan citizens will receive financial support from the state, including pensioners and recipients of social benefits, health care workers, tens of thousands of farmers, thousands of small entrepreneurs, hundreds of police and military families, dozens of doctors’ heirs whose lives were claimed by coronavirus,” Dodon said, noting that the government is now starting to implement these bills. Recall that, according to one of the four bills for which the government took responsibility, the authorities will additionally allocate funds for a lump sum payment of 700 lei to pensioners whose income does not exceed 3 thousand lei. The money will be also spent to increase the subsidy fund for agriculture by100 million lei. In addition, the Cabinet took responsibility for doubling the salaries of health workers and additional payments for employees of medical departments in some government agencies. At the same time, the Cabinet allocated 50 million lei to support small and medium enterprises and 20 million to implement the Prima Casă 6 program for law enforcement officers. Earlier, Dodon promised to approve these bills, even if a motion of no confidence was put forward to the government. “Even if a vote of no confidence is put forward to the government, I’ll sign all the laws on Monday, and next week money will be received for agriculture and for doctors,” the president said on July 10 in The President Answers podcast.
