The leader of the Action and Solidarity (PAS) party, Maia Sandu, met on July 30 with the Russian Ambassador to Moldova, Oleg Vasnetsov. “We agreed to keep in touch,” the Russian embassy’s Facebook page says.
The embassy said that Sandu and Vasnetsov discussed relations between Moldova and Russia, as well as the coronavirus pandemic and how the authorities are dealing with it.
“During a thorough conversation, the parties discussed the current state of Russian-Moldovan relations, focusing on common global challenges in the context of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic,” the Russian Embassy said in a press release following Sandu’s meeting with Vasnetsov.
