Parliament Approved Measures Supporting Farmers and Teachers in the First Reading

The parliament approved measures to support agrarians and education in the first reading on Thursday. Finance Minister Sergiu Puscutsa, presented the project and noted that the package of measures related to agricultural producers provides for: subsidies of interest on loans in banks; a subsidy from VAT on land tax and other fees; introducing a moratorium on tax audits until the end of 2020. These measures will require additional 100 million lei allocation, infotag.md reported The project also involves the provision of 105 million lei to pay teachers overtime for the next three months due to the pandemic. The budget commission chairman, socialist Vladimir Golovatiuc noted that he supports the government's measures, except the cancellation of the one-time allowance payment of 16 thousand lei to doctors who contracted the virus while on duty. The MP noted that a corresponding amendment has already been prepared and the government will take it into account when preparing the draft for the second reading.
