By his decree, Volodymyr Zelensky introduced sanctions against 10 individuals and 79 legal entities, including companies registered in the Russian Federation, Poland, Estonia, Switzerland and the UAE. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, April 4, issued a decree giving effect to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on sanctions against 79 legal entities and 10 individuals, whom the presidential press service called "top ten Ukrainian smugglers." All of them are citizens of Ukraine. At the same time, the sanctions list of legal entities included not only Ukrainian companies, but also the Russian Federal Agency for CIS Affairs Rossotrudnichestvo, the companies Snabkom, Volga-Dnepr, Zavod Spetsagregat, Zavod Molot-Mechanika, Sevastopol Aggregate Plant and other enterprises on the territory of the Russian Federation and Russia-annexed Crimea. In addition, the list includes several companies registered in Poland, Estonia, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland. It is known about the Swiss company that its director is a Russian citizen Vasil Soldatov. Their assets on the territory of Ukraine have been blocked, trading operations with them have been terminated, and their licenses have been revoked. Complete termination of contacts with Rossotrudnichestvo In addition to these measures, operation of Rossotrudnichestvo's branches and representative offices is banned on the territory of Ukraine, a ban on public and humanitarian activities, campaigning, propaganda, printing and distribution of information materials, and on the use of media and information resources. A ban is introduced on the lease of property, as well as on any transactions. Inter-governmental agreements, joint projects and programs in the humanitarian, scientific and other spheres are terminated. Access in Ukraine to Internet resources used by Rossotrudnichestvo and its representative office in Ukraine, including the domains https://rs.gov.ru, https://ukr.rs.gov.ru and others will be blocked. Official visits and negotiations are terminated. In his statement, Zelensky stressed that for the first time in the history of the country, personal sanctions are being introduced, namely the freezing of assets and property against the largest smugglers exposed by the SCU and the NSDC. In addition, dozens of officials have been suspended from work in the customs authorities. Referring to the expert data, the President of Ukraine said that losses due to smuggling reached 300 billion hryvnia, equivalent to about 9 billion euros. The NSDC approved the list of persons subject to sanctions and penalties on April 2.
