The population of Moldova may develop collective immunity from coronavirus no earlier than November this year. That is assuming that citizens will be actively vaccinated in order to reach 70% of the vaccinated population by autumn, tv8.md reports. Specialists of the national advisory committee in the field of immunization came to the conclusion that collective immunity to a new type of COVID in the country will not be able to form until November. But even with optimistic forecasts, in order to develop immunity, the population needs to be actively vaccinated against COVID-19. "It is necessary that an average of 10,000 to 13,000 doses of vaccinations are used per day across the country," Ninel Revenco, coordinator of the COVID-19 Vaccination Communication Group, said. "It is important that all the vaccination points work on weekends from now on," Denis Cernelea, state secretary of the Ministry of Health, said. To date, about 5% of the population have been vaccinated against COVID, and men are most actively vaccinated.
