The Russian president has never rejected the possibility of holding a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Peskov assured.
At the moment, there are no prerequisites for a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Monday, October 4.
“So far, to be honest, there are no prerequisites for this. No new elements have appeared here either,” he replied to a question about the possibility of a meeting before the end of the year.
Peskov added that Putin has never rejected the possibility of holding such a meeting. “Moreover, he said that he was also ready to hold it, but first it would be better to decide what the two presidents could discuss. And here we have not seen any progress yet,” the Kremlin representative said.
The day before, Volodymyr Zelensky once again stated that he was ready to hold a meeting with Putin. According to him, the Russian Federation refuses to meet, because it can bring an unexpected result.
