The next meeting in the “5+2" format on the Transdniestrian conflict settlement will take place in Stockholm. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ann Linde at a press conference.
Summing up the results of her visit to Chisinau, the diplomat noted that she had received the consent of all the parties involved in the political settlement of the Transdniestrian conflict that the next meeting in the 5+2 format will take place in Stockholm, moldpres.md reports.
“I had a full day of meetings and discussions today, both with high-level officials in Chisinau and the leadership in Tiraspol. Together we decided that the next meeting in the 5+2 format this year will take place in Stockholm,” Linde said.
At the same time, the Swedish diplomat stressed that this is her second visit this year to the capital of the Republic of Moldova. “This reflects the importance we attach to the political settlement of the Transdniestrian conflict,” said the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
The head of the Swedish diplomacy, Ann Linde, paid a working visit to the Republic of Moldova on Wednesday as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. The program of the visit included meetings with President Maia Sandu and Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu.
