The Governments of the Republic of Moldova and Romania met on Friday, February 11, in Chisinau at the first joint meeting. In three months, we have signed agreements on gratuitous assistance, bridge construction and tariff reduction, protocols on cooperation, action plans on justice reform. The Romanian Commodity Exchange is ready to offer a platform for switching to electricity and gas. This is a good sign for the Republic of Moldova and Romania. You can count on the full openness of Romanian institutions. The agreements that we will sign confirm our support for the Republic of Moldova. We assure you of the full involvement of the Romanian government for the benefit of the stability of the Republic of Moldova, its European course and the well-being of citizens,” the Romanian Prime Minister said. During the meeting, the governments of the two countries will sign a bilateral agreement on gratuitous financial assistance in the amount of 100 million euros, as well as an agreement on reducing tariffs for the provision of international roaming services and international calls between the two states.
