Committee of Permanent Representatives of the European Union failed to agree on a new package of anti-Russian sanctions.
EU ambassadors at a meeting on Monday, May 30, failed to agree on a sixth package of sanctions against Russia. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine, citing a source, saying that “there was no agreement on COREPER”.
Earlier it was reported that the EU summit on May 30-31 should approve new sanctions against Russia in order to impose an embargo on Russian oil supplies, except for pipeline oil.
It should be noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will speak at the summit via video link.
