Committee of Permanent Representatives of the European Union failed to agree on a new package of anti-Russian sanctions. EU ambassadors at a meeting on Monday, May 30, failed to agree on a sixth package of sanctions against Russia. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine, citing a source, saying that “there was no agreement on COREPER”. Earlier it was reported that the EU summit on May 30-31 should approve new sanctions against Russia in order to impose an embargo on Russian oil supplies, except for pipeline oil.
