The Republic of Moldova will get a 300 million euros’ loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to implement the Gas Supply Reliability project. The Parliamentary Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance approved on Wednesday a report on a draft law on ratification of the loan agreement between Moldova and EBRD, signed on June 23, moldpres.md reported. According to the document, the loan will be granted in two tranches of 100 million and 200 million euros. The money will be used to buy gas for emergency purposes and to diversify the supplies sources. At the same time, the risks of possible limitation or termination of natural gas supplies in the context of the political situation and energy markets evolution in the region will be mitigated. The draft ratification of the Agreement is to be considered by Parliament in the forthcoming meetings. Point
