The Moldovan-Romanian defense commission met in Chisinau last week to discuss current regional security issues. The Romanian delegation was headed by Simona Cojocaru, state secretary of the Defense Ministry, who met with representatives of the headquarters and the leadership of the Moldovan National Army, infotag.md reported. In the course of the discussion the themes of reforming of Moldovan Armed Forces, promotion of security in the world were touched upon. Separately, the sides touched on assistance provided by Romanian partners in a number of projects, such as military education and training, scientific research. Representatives of the Romanian Defense Ministry met with officials from the Foreign Ministry and the NATO Liaison Office. This is the seventh meeting of the Moldovan-Romanian commission. Working meetings are held annually on a parity basis.
