The new sanctions package may include confiscation of assets in Russia, a ban on the sale of property and more.
The European Union has begun working on new sanctions against Russia. Radio Liberty journalist Rickard Jozwiak reported Tuesday, Oct. 11, that this would be the EU’s ninth package of sanctions since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.
“Work is already underway on a potential new package of EU sanctions against Russia. It could include confiscation of assets in Russia, a ban on the sale of property and other details that were considered in previous rounds,” the journalist writes.
According to him, the new sanctions package may include restrictions against Belarus, as it was not included in the previous one.
Recall that just last week, the EU Council approved the eighth package of sanctions against Russia for aggression against Ukraine.
