The global economic recession, environmental problems, and the war in Ukraine in the context of multiple crises and geopolitical changes are some of the topics on the agenda of the World Economic Forum in Davos. This year there was a record number of participants, especially representatives of the business community, as well as political leaders. Among them is President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu. This year, the summit returns to the traditional format with physical presence. According to the international media, fewer political leaders announced their participation this year. To specify, the annual meeting at the Swiss resort of Davos, which is being held for the 53rd time, brings together leaders of the state, business and civil society to discuss the state of the world and discuss priorities for the year. The event provides a platform to engage in constructive, forward-looking dialogues and help find solutions through public-private cooperation. The World Economic Forum releases a global risk report before each annual meeting in January to identify and analyze critical global risks. The cost-of-living crisis caused by inflation and aggravated by the war in Ukraine and the resumption of the economy after the COVID pandemic, represents the biggest global risk for the next two years, according to the study published on January 11, 2023.
