Russia is concerned over reports that a Kyiv provocation with radioactive materials may happen near Transdniestria, which has been the subject of rising tension these days. This was said in a comment by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova distributed on Wednesday, tass.ru reports. “Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the provocation being prepared by the Kyiv regime in order to accuse the Russian Armed Forces of allegedly carrying out indiscriminate strikes on radioactively dangerous objects, which could cause a leak of radioactive substances and contaminate the area,” the commentary reads in relation to data about the Kyiv regime’s planned provocation using radioactive materials. “This information resonated widely among the residents of Ukraine and the bordering Eastern European countries. The fact that such processes are taking place in close vicinity of Transdniestria, which is the subject of deliberate tension created by the Kyiv regime, cannot but cause concerns,” the diplomat stressed.
